Hello – my name is Aaltje. I am married to a lovely man and I have four kids. Three boys from 1988, 1989 and 1993 and one girl who was born in 1997. As far back as I can remember, I have always loved dolls and especially baby dolls. When I therefore discovered “reborn” babies on the Internet, a whole new world opened for me and this resulted in a new hobby. Knitting and crocheting for babies and dolls I already did, so that was easy to combine with my new hobby – Rebornen….
Now with rebornen, knitting, crocheting and sewing, I am so busy, that I can’t have any more hobbies.

Rebornen is the best hobby I have ever had and you’d better believe me when I say that my sister and I have tried everything. At a certain moment I saw my babies becoming more beautiful and more lifelike, although I’m never really satisfied and I will continue to try new things for a more realistic effect.

I cannot possibly keep all my “babies” as it would get far too crowded. I also never call them dolls, because they are like babies for me and saying good-bye is never easy!
